About This Chapter
A hundred years have passed since the beginning of the book, and the protagonist is enjoying his three hundredth cup of wine. He feels disturbed by the message he has just given the reader. He realizes that the message is disturbing his peace, and he wishes he had not given it. He tells the reader that he once was a diving creature, but that he has joined the demon bandits. The general orders the wolf to be tied up. The wolf growls, but the general tells him to stay still. He says that even though the wolf is arrogant, it is still bad luck that he will encounter the general, god of war. He commands the wolf not to bite him, but to put on a muzzle so that he won't get bitten by the general. When the wolf tells the general that he is innocent, the general says that he's clearly a "petite beauty" and that he should only answer his questions. He then tells the wolf that if he dares to speak unnecessary nonsense, he will cut off his tongue first. He explains that he saw with his own eyes that the general told the demons that they should kill the people of the divine clan so that they would be able to become immortals
