About This Chapter
It's been a while since we've seen the monster, but it's still there. We're not exactly sure what to make of it, but we're pretty sure that's what it is: "grit that damn monster" . Okay, so maybe it was just a wild animal that scared off the humans, but that doesn't mean that it can't still be a threat to us humans. OK, we'll get to that in a second. But first, let's take a look at what's going on with the Governess. She's totally freaked out by the sight of the ho-sun. The Governess is all, "ha ha ha ha" , but she's not sure what else to say. She wants to know why she didn't call the police, why she wasn't more freaked out when she saw it, and why she let it live in the town all this time. She knows that it could kill someone next time, and she wants to report it to the authorities so that they can get rid of it. But then she realizes that she'll never be able to do anything about it, because people will start hating her, and they won't eat or kill other animals, and so on. So, she decides to keep her promise and not call the cops.
