In this chapter, we get a brief glimpse of what it's like to be an "enhanced human" . It's hard to say exactly what this means, but we do know that it means that you're no longer a "regular" human, and that you are now a "creature" instead of just a "pestle." We also learn that the "creatures" have been living in the mountain for a while now, and they're in danger.
