The chapter opens with Gu Xiaocheng's letter to Guizhou, in which he accuses Guizhou of having been cultivating his son and even offering him the post of president. He also accuses him of using his power as chairman to suppress news of his son's relationship with Weilan. He asks Guizhou if he will do the same to his son this time. He says that during his reign, Guizhou doubled the share price of the company, which proves that he is strong. Since none of the family can declare that they can do such a thing, he asks that Guizhou be removed from the position of chairman and sent back to the branch. He then accuses Weilan of wearing high heels on the day of her pregnancy. She says that high heels may increase the risk of miscarriage, so she leaves the room. She tells him that she needs to find him. She also tells him about the rumors that Weilan's baby is the result of her affair with Guizhou. She asks him if he is here to discuss divorce, and he replies that she is planning something. She then asks him why he refuses to divorce. He replies that he did not want the divorce, but he blames her for that.
