About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the fourth of the "dark talismen" is the leader of the undead, and that he is able to move things "without touching them" only if he sees them. In other words, he can move the undead without touching them, but he can't see them. The fourth man, however, can move things with his vision, so he's able to stop the bleeding. He's also able to see that the undead are in pain, and so he wants them to die. But only after they've "taste true despair" , he says, and only then will they be able to "zip in" the "incan orb" . This is the fourth man in the apocalypse, and he is the one who has the vision to see the undead's pain. He says that he wants the undead to die, but only after "they taste true despair," and only after the undead have "faces twisted in horror." This is what the apocalypse is all about, he tells us, and it's the same for him. He wants to be a "holy knight," like his mother, but the undead won't let him out of their grasp. They've already cornered him, and now he has to fight them again. He tells them that he still believes in them, even though they're not as good as the "four knights of apocalypse." He says he still wants to help them out, but that he needs to overcome their despair, so they can "to the bitter end."
