The three of them are in the middle of a battle when they are interrupted by a cry from the father of one of the children. The father begs them to take his daughter away from the fighting so that he can heal the scars on his heart caused by the previous night's battle. The three men agree, but the father refuses to give up his daughter until the battle is over. He tells the father that he has come to the grotto because he wants to undo the curse on the children and give the crystal to the demons so that they will no longer attack them. He refuses to meet his daughter, who has never seen her spirit before, and the father is incredulous. He has lived in the grotto for five years, and he has not seen his daughter's ghost in five years.
