One day, on her way home from work, alice runs into the cat, who calls out to her, saying that she's taking her home today, but that she hopes she'll take her to the world she wants to show her one day. She tells the cat she'd like to be a part of the play, but she knows that it's going to be hard work, and she doesn't want to be the cat's voice. She wants to be like everyone else, and if she still can't work out a deal with the boy who's supposed to play the part, then she promises to stop badgering him and just do her best. She's also going to design a new set of dresses for the play. The only answer she gets from clow is a cryptic smile, and that's all she knows about clow's past. She says clow was warped, and he had a lot of enemies, so it was hard for him to get screwy. She also says that clow did something weird when he decided to do it, and the only thing that could have stopped him from doing it was a weak barrier.
