About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a soliloquy by the leader of the Underground Railroad. He tells the other Underground Railroad members to rise and help him escape. He's been passed out in hanawa's room, and they've got to help him. He asks why they don't seem to be chastising about the whole thing. He wants to know why they haven't taken the case to court, why they show up at all times to help, and why they didn't send a sound engineer to help them out. The Underground Railroad leader says that he'd have missed the message if the director had not noticed that something wasn't right about the kureko. He also says that if they hadn't sent the sound engineer, he would have missed it. He says that the only thing he could think of is when koda-san escaped with the crudonion smartphone. He thinks the only way they'd be able to win the case would be if they had a good sound engineer. They're also worried about the fact that their director hasn't paid attention to what's going on. They also worry that if the police show up, they'll be blamed for everything. They want to move to the police station, but they're worried that the police won't show up.
