About This Chapter
Mizuho tells the story of how she got into the business of writing for the local radio station. She says that she attended a workshop for students who wanted to work in the business after high school, and that anyone who wasn't interested was free to leave. The students who did leave were the ones who had the right ideas. Now, even though the average regional radio station's audience is only 7 percent, they're able to get a celebrity to talk for 5 hours a week. That's 4,000 hours a year, which is a lot of work for a small town station. MiZuho says she's never thought she'd get to meet a writer of a show like that. She's glad to hear that he's interested in working for the station, and she invites him to come meet her sometime soon.
