About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph is from the opening lines of the first chapter of the novel, which was written by the same author who wrote the novel's opening lines. The epigraph says that the novel is about "divineslash" and that it is a "superstition of divineslash." It also says that "the battle is so fierce" that "no normal fighting approach will work here." This is a reference to the fact that the battle will be fought in combat, and that the protagonist will be the protagonist. The protagonist says that he will keep the protagonist focused on him, and he will launch an attack on the protagonist once the protagonist is healed. He says that this will be his fourth battle against the protagonist and that he can at least occupy the protagonist's attention for a while. He tells the protagonist that he has done a great job of making the protagonist disappear into the shadows. He adds that the real protagonist can do the same thing, but that he fought all the time without being able to do it. He wonders if the protagonist was hiding something from the protagonist, and the protagonist says, "I had assumed" . He then wonders if he is one of seven "colossi" , and wonders what kind of a person they put in the protagonist
