When Dad's business goes bankrupt, the family flees the country. He gambles, but he fails, and his wife is sick and needs expensive medicine. He takes his own life. He realizes that money can't solve everything, and he sets out to do something about it. He tells Lan that he wants her to go to the "blue ocean" as soon as he can.
