About This Chapter
The next morning, the Governess and her son go back to the castle. The Governess tells her son that she has gone into labor and that she is going to call her "iani" . He tells her that what he has learned from the previous night's encounter has put him on a dangerous path and that he is certain that he will soon find someone and have a child of his own. He says that his research has made him "on another dangerous path" and that they are both "forces for good" and "evil." He tells his father that he must think of him as a "master dalun" and tells him to bring his friend "finhras" straight away. He then tells his son that they have everything they need to leave, and that their departure would not have been compromised if they had not been able to do so. He asks his son to consider himself at home, and says that they should go back and see what has happened. He is surprised that they took care of so many corpses, and wonders if he has lost his mind.
