In this chapter, we learn that jiu jitsu has won the trust of Ren. Ren is a kindhearted and naive young man, and he trusts jiu-jitsu to protect him. Ren tells us that he has been threatened and hurt by the government ever since he learned of Ren's past, and that they threaten and hurt him as well. Ren asks if he can exchange his iscale gauze dress for hers, and she tells him that she has changed her mind about Ren. She says that she knows how to swim and that she is going to perform a mermaid's performance in the aquarium.
