In this chapter, we learn that the Apollo 11 astronauts were tricked into coming to the moon by the lunarites, who gave them fake pieces of the moon that they could use to repair the broken pieces of their own body. The gem that the astronauts were supposed to bring with them to the lunar surface was not one of the fake pieces, because it was part of the plot to get the astronauts to come back to the surface. The astronauts were also tricked into believing that they would be able to repair their own bodies, which they were not able to do.
