The next morning, the peasant complains that he's up too early. He's hoping to go swimming in the pond, but it's too late. He asks to be put on some "proof resin" so he doesn't have to go back out in the cold. He tells the peasant that the weather has been fine the last two days, but he wonders if something has changed. He wonders if the plants are sensitive to the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter. The peasant says that sensei has been restless lately, and the two lunar invasions that have occurred in the past few days have made him restless. He says that the plants don't seem to notice how hot the weather is in summer or how cold it is in winter, and that they're more sensitive to danger or cold than they are to heat or light. He also says that he has been making a new suit for the reveal, and sensei gave him extra time to finish it. He complains about how hard it is to go deep into the sea on just light, and how different animals need different things to survive. He explains that he came back from the sea because he was hoping to return to his home, but that now that he is so close, he can't return. He worries that his unders are so fragile that he won't be able to go home.
