In this chapter, we learn that the webmaster of the steel lady's web site, karinnanase, is actually the murderer of terada san. In fact, she's part of the murderer's plot to make everyone believe that she has the power to make the future a better place. The only person who can stop her power is kotoko, who has the same power as karin. The two men discuss the fact that no one has ever heard of the "Steel Lady" or even seen her in real life. They also discuss whether or not karin actually died in the year that she was supposed to have died. They both agree that it's unlikely that anyone will ever know anything about her or her family's history. They're not even sure if she died in a suicide attempt or if she was murdered by someone else. .
