About This Chapter
The advance team searches for sato at the air force's Iruma Air Base. They are joined by the ministry of defense, the self-defense force, the provincial cooperation office, and the special forces. The men are looking for him on the grounds, but they do not want to risk friendly fire. He tells them that they are not human beings, and they will not kill or wound their fellow men with him. He says that he has chosen only men who are capable of killing or wounding sato. He thinks that sato has headed north, and he is sure that he is a military veteran. He decides to go all out and kill the enemy.
