The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Hirohito and uragami are discussing how they plan to destroy the Goto parasite. They discuss how they will use a pistol as a weapon against the parasite, and then they discuss the possibility of using a flame-thrower to destroy it. They decide to use a shotgun to do the job, since the parasite's heart is only a few centimeters away from the trigger.
