About This Chapter
Miyuki tells the others that the monster looked human because he was talking like a human. He tells them that they should hurry to the roof because the signal is fractured. Miyuki says that he needs to look like he's a hand before the girl sees him. He asks if she's hurt, and she says no. He wants to know where she came from, and he says she came through the same floor as him. She says no, and Miyuki asks where he came from. He says he thought he'd make it with her, but now he wants to kill the monster. He's got one more thing to do, and that's to clear the way for the cops. He warns Miyuki not to shoot the cops in the back, because the monster is armed and very strong. He also tells Miyuki to leave the fight to the police, because they'll have a hard time beating the monster down with only four to five deaths. He suggests that they drag the monster out of the building, but Miyuki reminds him that it's not for them to judge. They've got to figure out how to capture the monster alive, or else it'll sense them.
