About This Chapter
The next morning, the ship's pilot, Hiroyuki, tells the rest of the crew that he's feeling a little better. He's been feeling a bit better lately, but he still has a lot of work to do before he can get back to his normal self. Hiroyuki tells the others that he was once his older sister's brother, a pilot. When his sister was killed in battle, his brother was a pilot, too, and he was just a kid at the time. He tells the other crew members that he just wanted to get a look at Hiroyuki's new creation, the gravitron radial emitter, and that he doesn't want to harm it. He also tells them that they can't try to save Hiroyuki because he proved Hiroyuki innocent of any wrongdoing. They're not trying to save his sister, he says, but only to restore her to her normal form. The other crewmen are shocked that Hiroyuki would want to look at his new creation. They don't believe him, but they're sure he'll be able to figure out a way to make it work. The next day, they'll have to prepare for battle, and Hiroyuki is worried that they won't have enough time to repair the sasaki's strontium radial emitter before it's ready to fire.
