About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the Mizuki has been ordered to launch a new generation of weapons, including an anti-gauna guided projectile, which can fire at sixteen targets at once. The ship's captain, Sasaki, is pleased to be able to launch the new weapons, and he is also pleased to see that the entire crew of the ship has been seated. He is also happy to meet Tanikaze, who is still learning how to pilot the ship. He tells Sasaki that the cover of the ventilation duct has been removed, and that someone has been spying on him. He says that he violated discipline on the very first day of the campaign, and was punished severely for it. He apologizes to Sasaki and tells him that he will try to work out a solution to the problem.
