The next day, we find out that Miss Jessel is pregnant with her second child. We learn that she's not the only woman in the world who's had a miscarriage. We also learn that her husband's still alive, and that he's been dead for a year. We're also told that the baby will be named after Jessel's mother, who died when the baby was a baby.
