In this chapter, we learn that the young master and the black lotus are in the middle of a battle in the bamboo forest. The young master tries to protect the girl from the monsters, but the girl is too scared to do so. The two of them decide to leave the forest, and the girl asks why the man who wants to kill her is the same man who killed her. She asks why he's so gentle now, and he says that it's for everyone's sake. She wants to leave, but he won't let her go. He tells her to stay away from him, and she agrees.
