About This Chapter
In the teahouse, a bandit named A'cheng tells his master that he is a bandit and that his life is worthless. He tells him that he likes him and hopes that he will cooperate with him in finding a doctor who will cure him. He says that beating others is bad and that he heard that a rich man from another city was looking for doctors in the city. That's too good to be true, he says, because if he knew this, he would have become a physician. He also says that if he were poisoned, he'd seek a doctor like the one from the city's "golden lock" who will reward anyone who will find a cure for him. The golden lock wants to find a wife for him and he says that once he has earned the mansion from the man, he will find one for himself. The next day, he can't eat properly. He goes to get the food and when he returns, he finds that he has fallen asleep again. He wonders if he has been possessed by the pig. He thinks that the poison in his body has entered his system and that someone will be looking for him soon.
