In this chapter, we learn that little Xingxing doesn't seem to be interested in the idea of "liking" anyone. Instead, he seems to be "weirder" lately. He's been acting weird, like he's in love with someone. This is not the first time that this has happened to him, but it's the most recent. When he gave her water two days before, he suddenly "stood up" to touch her face. This makes us wonder who touched her face and trapped her between her arms. We're not sure what's going on, but we're guessing that it was the "weird kid" in question. We also learn that the "national mathematics tournament" that's supposed to take place every year in each province is free, so this is a great opportunity for a young man to try his hand at something. Back in grade eight, he went to the South to compete in a tournament for middle school students. He didn't have a lot of friends, but he did have a good time.
