About This Chapter
The next day, the two men discuss the recent earthquake and the approaching snake king. The younger brother of the older brother has come to join them, and the younger brother wants to avenge his brother's death. The two argue about whether or not they should call for an immediate end to slavery. The older brother says that if they did, they would have no effect, but if they called for a long-lasting war, they will have to use a "gimick" to rouse the people's delusions and enlist them in their cause. They argue that they will lend a helping hand to the young man, but that they do not want to please the "lusitanians" with meaningless fighting
