About This Chapter
The wandering minstrel tells the queen that he is a traveling minstrel and that he can handle a sword, a bow, and a spear better than the soldiers around him. He also tells her that he dreamed that she was a prince and that she shared this dream with him one night. The queen tells the wandering minstrel that she is a princess and that the women of the world are weak. She tells him that the only prince who will inherit his destiny will be the king of the land. The king will have to flee the land because of the snake king , and the only one who will be able to carry out the king's command is the prince of Egypt. He adds that he will reward him with one hundred gold for his skill with the sword and music. The lusitians come out to attack the morale of the queen and marzban. She says that she did not ask about the highness of the king. She adds that under the god everyone is equal and that they should rise up and break their chains. She also says that they are killing servants of god. She asks if it would be better if they said farewell to each other now.
