About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Hirokazu and the others are talking about how they've just moved into the new town. The flashback shows that they're broke, and that they don't know how to survive. The chapter ends with a description of the town's new police station. The station is run by a guy named Holo, who's a member of the local branch of the Shinto army. Holo's job is to keep watch over the town and make sure it's safe for the people to go about their daily business. He's also responsible for training the other officers in how to deal with the ogres that live in the town. Holo tells the story of how he and his men were saved from an ogre by a young guy who was walking by. Holo says that the guy's name is "Hiro" and that he's been walking by the station for the past few days. The two of them talk about how Holo saved them from the ogre, and Holo says he'd like to apologize to the girl.
