In this chapter, the narrator reflects on the events of the previous night. He realizes that he is in a state of "disas ter" , and that he has not spoken to Haruki since the night of the fight. He wonders why Haruki did not go to the beach the previous day. The narrator is glad that Haruki has decided to come to visit the girls. He is also happy that they are all so nice to each other. He tells them that he will buy a copy of the famous wake and cake, which is a limited edition of a magazine. Haruki thanks the girls for their hospitality and invites them to come back to shoot for him in the future. The girls agree, and Haruki says that if he ever returns to Tokyo, he will do a similar shoot for them.
