Back at the school, the boys discuss the injury to their knee. They're worried that it's going to keep them out of the next round of matches, but they're also worried that the refs won't be able to catch them. One of the boys, matsuo, tells the other boys not to push the injury, because it'll make it worse. The other boys, however, think that matsuo is a beast, and they agree that he's probably the best player on the team. They all agree that the team needs to get back to playing like a real team.
