About This Chapter
The fight continues, and Haruki and his friends are victorious. Haruki tells his friends that they've done a good job, and that he's going to turn the fight back around on the other guys. He's not about to let his friends do this, though. He tells them that they need to figure out where they are going to school, because he doesn't know how to do it. He asks them to stop smoking their cigarettes, and then asks them where they're going when they graduate from high school. He also asks them if they drink, and they tell him that they do, too. He says that when he was a kid, he used to be good, but then his parents died, and he and his friend didn't have a place to belong anymore. They're both better off now, Haruki says, because they were never as bad as he was, and now they don't need to be like him anymore. He wants to go back to work, though, and says that the only sport he ever cares about is wrestling.
