About This Chapter
The second half begins with a kick-off between the two teams. The first half was a scrim, and the second half is just like the first half. The coach asks if he gave the players any pointers, and they all agree that he did not. They also agree that the coach's pep talk was the right thing to do, since it was ordered by the doctor. The other coach wonders if the faults of the other team are their own, or if they are limited to the game, and that they wind up like arrogant, self-centered, and self-confident players. He also wonders if there is something "extraorditory" about the team, since they are always playing to win. He worries about the mental state of the players, who are playing against the best in the world. He tells them to go back to the prelims and secure the knowledge that the other side gave them a run for their money.
