In this chapter, Tamura introduces us to Tamura's mother, Banri, and her daughter-in-law, Milady. Banri asks Milady if she would like to have dinner with Tamura, and Milady replies that she would, but that she doesn't want to eat with anyone who would make her feel guilty. Milady tells Banri that she'd like to eat dinner with her, too, but Banri says she's not sure if Milady will eat with her or not. Tamura tells Milady that she can have whatever she wants, but she'll have to ask Banri's permission first. .
