Hiroto and Sota go to the shrine gate to meet up with Fujimoto. Hiroto tells Sota that he hasn't seen any ghosts in the shrine, but Sota refuses to tell him anything. She's a girl, and she doesn't want to go to a festival with them. Sota tells her that she's surprised that she didn't tell them about the ghost before they went to Hiroto's house. She says that now everyone is looking at her weird because of her, and that's why she'll tell them the truth once the school year starts. She also says that she wishes she could be like her, but that she can accept it if she wants. She tells him to not throw out his stuff, because she likes the way he does not agree to anything unless he fully believes it's true. He tells her to act normal, like everyone else. He grabs his arm, and says that he's not pregnant. He says that the ghosts are holding on to him, and he can see the ghost of Sota in the house. He wants to go save Hiroto, but he can't because the house is dangerous.
