He also tells him that the "magic" of the dream demon isn't like that of a sorcerer or a monk. The two men meet up, and the narrator explains that he's a new student at the university. He's not expecting the student to show up, but he does, and he shows the narrator a dream demon that looks very different from a normal demon. He asks the student why he was so violent when he drugged him. The student says that he was trying to help him out of kindness, but that he didn't think of the consequences.
