About This Chapter
The narrator feels a "warm and soft waves" surrounding his body. He feels safe, and his consciousness is leaving his body too. He wonders why he always reads books by himself, why he never plays with other masters, and why he is always reading books alone. He believes that human beings are born alone and cannot be understood, until he sees the "bold and fearless eyes" that shine from his soul. The narrator tells the audience that his mother invented this magic so that she could read other peoples' information at will, and control the "output of her power" .
