This chapter's epigraph comes from a poem by the same name, written by a young woman who is a member of the Ming family. The poem is about a young girl who is in love with an older man. The young woman tells the poem's author that she wants to marry the older man, but the young man won't let her marry him because he doesn't want her to have sex with him.
