About This Chapter
It's been a while since we've seen the protagonist, and now he's back on stage. He's in the middle of a soliloquy about how much he loves his neighbor, and how he'd like to grow his own food. He asks his neighbor if she wants more tomatoes, and she says yes, but he'll have to ask her if she really wants to eat them, or if she'll just let him grow them for himself. He tells her to open up the garden and ask him if he wants to help out, and he asks if he can use his heave to help him out. She says no, and then asks him to give her some water. He says he doesn't want to drink the water, so he wants her to think of him and give him some love. Then he asks her to plant some lettuce. He wants to know if she likes it, and if it's panic-prone. She tells him that she does, and that she's worried about how it'll grow. Then she asks him what he should do with the lettuce, since he likes it so much. He suggests that she plant it in the sunniest part of the garden, which will make it grow faster.
