In this chapter, we learn that Little Em'ly has been hiding in a doll in her room with her older brother, who is the president of the household. The doll's owner is a man named "Barako," who is described as having a "weird face next to ma" , and who has "a weird mole next to me" . He is a pervert, the doll says, and he should stop acting like one. He says that he is not a pervert and that he just lives his life to have a pervert as his step-brother. He tells us that he does not have a father, and that his mother raised him up as a messy maid. He wants to make Barako drink his brother's "earwax" to boil dirt under his fingernails, so that he will become like them. He adds that he wants Barako to drink his earwax so that when he grows up, he will be like his stepbrother.
