About This Chapter
Mr. Wong, the headmaster of the school, congratulates Kyle on his performance in the entrance exam for physics. He tells him that his class wants him to take part in the competition on behalf of his class. Kyle, however, is not interested in this mission. He knows that he is too intelligent to compete with the other students in the class, and he does not wish to lose face in front of his classmates. Mr. . Wong tries to defend Kyle by pointing out that the students in his class do not have the same level of intelligence as Kyle. He also points out that Kyle's entrance exam score is much higher than that of other students from the same class. He says that the total score for the students of the class is 150, and that the average score of the students is 100. He adds that he hopes Kyle will be able to pass the exam. The headmaster then tells the students that they should go home and look for answers to the questions in the exam paper. The students protest that they need tutoring, but the headmaster refuses to allow them to do so.
