Paul asks Aegon if he can do up a new contract now that he's back in France. He's got a flight to England the next day, so he can't sign the contract until then. Aeneas says he'll do it anyway. Paul says he didn't know that he was going to have to pay five times more for the new contract. He says he just re-negotiated a bunch of contracts to get the same deal. Paul is impressed with how meticulous Mr. and Mrs. Manette are. They'll be at the show, he says, and he hopes they'll make a good team.
