About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that one of the remaining three numbers belongs to the king, and that the owner of that number is the person who had the highest achievement on the test. It is obvious that this person is the one who wants the king to grant his wishes. Midori, however, is not so sure. She thinks that the king is trying to get her own wishes granted, and she is sure that she has the secret room in the king's house. The king will not grant her wishes today, because one of her wishes has not been granted. He will grant her new wishes the next day, and if no one sends in a wish, the king will cancel his time. He tells her that she can send in another wish, but she will have to do it herself. She tells him that her father works for a travel agency, and he can go anywhere he wants. He says that he will do all his homework, but he will not ask the king for permission to ask him for permission. He adds that he has tickets to the theme park, but the king may not let him go because he is afraid of the water. He asks the king if he will let him carry his bag, and the king says he will carry it. The two men look at the view from the fountain, and Midori says that she still wants to see the rainbow, even though it has been a year since they last saw it together. She knows that she will never be granted the wish, because the king does not want to grant it.
