In this chapter, we learn that the king is alive and well, and that he has never failed to grant a wish. In fact, one of the teachers in the clown class has sent a card to the nurse, asking her to denounce her as a traitor. The teacher, however, does not believe that the card is a gift from the king, but rather a tip from the nurse's supervisor, Manabe. Manabe pretends to be a god and controls the entire class.
