The next morning, Hirokazu wakes up to find that he's just won the race. He's bummed that he didn't get to race with his sister, but he doesn't know what to do now that she's won. He tells his mom that it's great that she won, and he'll be able to read the letters she sent him. He also tells her that he already bought all of the ingredients for the suki-yaki , and they're going to have dinner together tonight. He asks his mom if she made the deadline on time, and she says that she did. He then asks her if she felt excited about riding with her sister, which she does. She says that it was fun, and that if they rode together, it would be even fun. She asks him to go ahead and bathe with her first, and then she'll race with him on the circuit. She then asks him if he wants to enter the next endurance race, which is scheduled for the following month.
