CASE 9 The Stolen Face, Part 2
This is a locked chapterCASE 9 The Stolen Face, Part 2
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the police officer who found Mina Wajima's body has decided to take action against his co-workers, who taunted him about her suicide. He's going to send a handwriting sample to a handwriting expert, but he's also going to look at the suicide note that Mina had written. The police officer tells us that it was "deep despair" at work that led him to this point. He says he'll go back to his apartment and cry. He wonders if this was "divine ishment" , and wonders if it's because she didn't write where she got the surgery. The officer says they'll have to wait until the autopsy to figure out what happened, but they can smell a police dog sniffing around the body. They can't figure out if it was raining when she died, or if she took off the dry cleaning tags on her coat. They don't know yet whether she killed herself in the middle of the night or early in the morning. They're going to try to find out who killed her.
