The lieutenant tries to get irene to leave, but she won't listen. He tells her to go to the medical officer, who can treat her. The lieutenant tells the captain to write a report, but the captain doesn't want to do that, since he's still alive. The captain tells him to wrap it up, and irene says she's fine. She says she came to get the puppy back, and now that she has it, she wants to go. She's going to get up on her own, she says, and leave the lieutenant alone. He's not going to listen to her, he says, because he'll be back home talking to his friends. He says that even if he went back home, he wouldn't be able to stop talking about his friends, since they're not allowed to talk to a senior officer in a foreign land. He calls her a pervert, and she says that's why she was trying to get him to leave. He grabs her, and the two of them fight.
