The chapter ends with a soliloquy by bamwoo, in which he tells his brother that he has made a wish for the moon to be a real person and that it has come true. He asks the fairy to let him go back to his previous form, but only if he truly loves his brother. He tells the boy to dress him first, then eat first, and then go to bed. He feels that the boy is avoiding him because of his ears and tail, and he asks the boy not to go outside to meet him. The boy says that he is not sure if he will be able to meet his brother because of the smell of his tail and ears, but he does not want to be late for his meeting with the boy. He says that his brother will be proud of him when he sees him, and that he feels that he and the boy have the same feelings, but that when he was a puppy, he turned him into his former form.
