When the doctor arrives at the scene of the crime, he tells Lydia that he has been locked up in the General's house. He tells her that he was just trying to do his job. He says that everyone in the city knows that he is the man who poisoned the woman. The doctor says that he did not mean to harm the woman, but that he had planned to take away some of the commoners' goods and calm them down. Everyone in the town knows that the man was from the wildfire forces, and everyone is shocked that he would do such a thing.
