About This Chapter
Binglan is shocked to learn that his room is the place where the demon-possessed books are kept. He is also shocked that the two brothers could hide the books in his room without him knowing. He thinks that the second brother must have been secretly instructing and assisting them. Binglan asks why he didn't tell the other disciples sooner about the matter. He says that he wanted to check if there were any suspicious disciples, but he did not find anything. He adds that if anyone does something that damages the character of the disciple, he will prepare to take his fury. One hour later, Binglan thanks him for his help. He tells him that when the elder brother ordered two books to be placed in the eastern side of the scriptures library, he took advantage of the lack of people in the library to take the boxes and put them in the room of Ming-liang. He also tells the story of how relatives and neighbors fight each other in his hometown. He asks if he still remembers the first time they met, and he says that the moment he saw him, he knew right away that he was the one he was waiting for.
