About This Chapter
We learn that the two men are pretending to be police officers, and that they could be arrested for doing so. They apologize and release the two imposters. The boss asks if the orphanage is under the jurisdiction of the police department, and they reply that it is. He then asks if there are any missing children in the area around the orphanage, and the men reply that they have found many corpses of children there. He tells the boss that the orphanage case is too large for the local police department to handle, so the local leader has sent the city's police to take over the case. He says that he has never heard of such a thing before, and he thinks that someone is trying to cover up the disappearance of children. He thinks that the name su qi, which means "the monster" in Chinese, might be the one wandering about the orphanage. He recalls a story about a boy who used to have a body that slowly turned invisible, but never played with the other children. The orphanage staff found out about the boy's disappearance after his body was completely hidden, but the boy was still inside the orphanage all these years. He asks if he still has any weakness, and if he is afraid of the wind. The two men confirm that they are still in the orphanage and ask if they still remember each other
